In a nutshell, MRI Contrast improves the quality of your MRI Images or Scans.  Now for the boring part.

Gadolinium contrast media also referred to as contrast media, dye, contrast dye, agents or dyes, are chemicals used in MRI scans.  When injected into the body the medium enhanced the images during your scans.  This medium allows the radiologist (The person who reviews your images) to more accurately report or diagnose your condition.

The medium is injected into your body through a small needle into a vein in your arm right before your scan.
